Description

As mentioned in the European Standard EN 285 a daily steam penetration test should be run in every autoclave. To this end, The Bowie&Dick Autoclave Test Pack is developed. The indicator sheet of this test guarantees colour change from a light blue to an even dark colour and allows for a clear interpretation. The Test Pack complies with ISO 11140-1 (class 2 + 4), EN 867-4 and ISO 11140-4.

The ink is applied to the test sheet trough silk screen printing, which ensures that exactly the same amount of ink is used at all times. The test sheet is laminated to prevent any ink from coming off. The production of all Bowie & Dick Type Autoclave Test Packs is an automised process under conditioned circumstances. The advantages are that the packs are totally reproducible and the test sheet will stay flat after the sterilization cycle. Full conformity certification for this product has been issued.

4A Bowie Dick Test Packs are the testing packages that should be used before starting daily machine sterilization process for steam sterilization devices. Bowie Dick Test Pack is used for the purpose of testing whether there is air leakage and efficient steam penetration in the steam sterilizers.
4A Bowie Dick Test Packs color change allows assurance of whether the steam sterilizers are ready for the sterilization or not.
Different kinds of Bowie Dick Test Packs are available in 4A production. These are 4A Bowie Dick Test Pack 200 (wrapped in medical paper, wrapped in crepe paper and BD in box) and 4A Bowie Dick Test Pack 400 (wrapped in medical paper and wrapped in crepe paper).
